Notable deviations from the generic Crit PvE template

The generic template (soul-blade-crit-pve-2026-05.md) recommends STR 90+ / AGI 90+ / VIT 94 / LUK 90 / DEX 60–70 / INT minimal. Arisu23’s actual sheet diverges in three ways — flagging so the choices are deliberate, not accidental:

  • 🟡 VIT 0 base (total 26) — template says VIT 94 base for 100 total VIT → stun immunity (called out as load-bearing for ET / MVP runs in soul-blade.md). Current Arisu23 build does not have stun immunity. Acceptable for trash mob farming; risky for ET / MVPs. [VERIFY: is this a deliberate dump for max STR/AGI, or an oversight?]
  • 🟡 LUK 0 base (total 79) — template says LUK 90 base. All 79 LUK comes from gear/runes/job bonuses; crit chance leans entirely on gear contribution. With katar’s doubled crit, this can be enough — but verify your in-game Crit % vs target’s CRI Resist before committing. [VERIFY actual Crit% on character sheet]
  • 🟢 DEX 84 base (total 105) — higher than the template’s 60–70. Likely for HIT cap on high-FLEE MVPs and reduced VCT on Soul Breaker. Reasonable for an AA Crit hybrid.

The high STR (159 base → 221 total) and AGI (90 base → 189 total) match the template direction, just pushed harder.

Read: full Katar Mastery line + full Sonic Blow line + Poison Cast through tier II. This favors Sonic Blow burst with katar over Cross Ripper Slasher or Ghost Wave variants — consistent with an AA Crit identity.

⚠️ Strong Blade Attack and Ambush are flagged as “uncertain tier” in assassin-path-skill-tree.md. The fact that Arisu23 has both maxed lets us verify their tier. When you have a moment, check the in-game skill tab and tell me which job tab they show under — I’ll lock the tier mapping in CLAUDE.md so future writes don’t guess.

Fill these in next session — known core picks for an AA Crit build that should appear somewhere in your allocation:

  • Enchant Poison (Thief, 10/10 — gates EDP)
  • Double Attack (Thief, take or skip? — for AA Crit you’d usually skip if going pure crit-katar; take if running a dagger sub-spec)
  • Sonic Blow + Sonic Acceleration (the AA Crit burst)
  • Katar Mastery (passive — separate from the rune)
  • Advanced Katar Research (SinX trans, +20% ATK / +10% bonus damage with katar — must-max for crit-katar)
  • Assassination Heart (SinX trans, +60% damage on crits — must-max)
  • Enchant Deadly Poison (SinX trans — single biggest DPS skill)
  • Cross Impact (GX, the burst king)

Open questions / next steps

  • Confirm tier of Strong Blade Attack and Ambush (and update CLAUDE.md mapping)
  • Decide whether to push base VIT for stun immunity (currently 0/26 → no immunity)
  • Verify total Crit % on character sheet — confirm gear+rune LUK is enough without LUK investment
  • Catalogue equipped gear (weapon, armor, accessories, refines, cards)
  • Write rotation once gear is settled
  • List remaining skill point allocations across all tiers (Thief / Assassin / SinX / GX / SBC)

Decay note

Build numbers drift with patches. Re-verify multipliers, rune effects, and skill scaling against in-game tooltips at least once per major patch (most recently Feb 2026 — Race Pierce / Element Pen additions). If updated: is more than ~6 months old, treat the specifics as suspect.
