Rotation / playstyle

Opener (single-target burst)

  3. Cross Impact while target is stunned (7 hits crit-stacked)
  4. Cross Ripper Slasher with full Rotation Counters (build via Rolling Cutter pre-fight or Dark Illusion → Cross Impact trigger)
  5. Soul Depravity at full souls if target survives — execute below soul% HP threshold

Sustain (PvE clear)

  1. Rolling Cutter (build counters + AoE)
  2. Cross Ripper Slasher (consume counters at range)
  3. Soul Decay (1 soul, AoE poison) for groups
  4. Poisonous Smoke for sustained AoE in narrow zones (Oracle Dungeon, Echoing Corridor)

Defensive cooldowns

  • Soul Protection (3 souls → 600% PATK shield) — pre-cast before MVP tank-busters
  • Hallucination Walk — proactive +50% MS / FLEE / Crit Res for kiting
  • Back Sliding — emergency repositioning + 5s Hide

Counters & weaknesses

  • Bad against: high-DEF MVPs without Pen sources; freezing / petrification heavy zones (bring Marc or status res)
  • Bad in maps with: Ghost-armored mobs (Soul Decay’s poison element doesn’t apply well — convert weapon if possible)
  • PvP: vulnerable to long-range cast burst before you can close gaps; rely on Hallucination Walk + Dark Illusion / Back Sliding to position
